Gate 11 - The Gate of The Conceptualist

What it means to be the guardian of ideas.

Gate 11, The Gate of The Conceptualist. This is also known as The Gate of Ideas and it resides in the Ajna Center in your Human Design chart.

The Ajna center corresponds to what we know as the third eye chakra. This is your center of translating and interpreting. It’s where we take the information (facts) received in the Head center and interpret them based on our conditioning or the surrounding circumstances. It’s the idea center.

I don’t have Gate 11 defined in my chart, but remember, we all have all the parts. Those parts that are defined in your chart will show up more consistently in your life, while the undefined spaces are where you get to play and learn and experiment in others’ energy.

In the language of the Gene Keys, the 11th Shadow is ‘obscurity’ and represents illusion and delusion. As it progresses to the 11th Gift of ‘idealism’, we bring creativity together with logic and create a more real reality.

When we are out of alignment with Gate 11 we try to force our ideas or share them to people who aren’t interested or ready for them. Without right timing, we can end up bouncing from one idea to another, not following through, and getting angry, bitter, or frustrated.
