Gate 15 - The Gate of Compassion
Accepting the extremes and trusting the flow and rhythm of life.
I’m so excited to start this series with Gate 15, The Gate of Compassion. This is also known as The Gate of Extremes and it resides in the Identity (G) Center in your Human Design chart.
The Identity (G) center, along with the Will center, combine to correspond to what we know as the heart chakra. Together they represent your authentic self and the value that you bring to the universe.
Gate 15 is special to me as it resides in my Conscious Sun which is the primary drive, or purpose in life, and it shows up in my life purpose of inspiring others to love themselves as they are and live with compassion, especially for themselves, yourself.
In the language of the Gene Keys, the 15th Shadow is ‘dullness’. Dullness is neither at the top or the bottom of the spectrum, it’s right in the center, no extremes. As it progresses to the 15th Gift, we begin to understand the compassion needed to trust the ebb and flow of life.
Life is filled with extremes and for most of us, life is like a balance scale first leaning one way, then the other, constantly shifting weight back and forth from one side to the other, sometimes leaning to each extreme end, but rarely just sitting still in the middle.
When we are out of alignment with Gate 15 we try to force ourselves to fit into the rhythm dictated by society. We try to keep life at a “even keel”, no extremes. This may show up as self-judgement and repeating old destructive patterns.
It’s the extremes and the flow from one side to another that are LIFE. Without them, we are stagnant, living in dullness.
So how do you apply this to your daily life?
You first need to understand the lesson of the Gate 15 and how to turn it around and listen to your heart.
