So, my other half and I were talking the other day and he posed an interesting question to me that he also posed to his YouTube viewers…
If you could go back in time and start over, would you?
But here’s the catch…
you wouldn't remember anything about what you've already experienced. You’d have no memory of your life now or any decisions you’ve already made. You would simply be starting over with a clean slate.
This got me thinking.
So often we say, “If I could go back and do this all over again, I’d do this or that differently.” Hindsight is 20/20. But would you go back without the benefit of hindsight?
What this comes down to is determining if we feel we’ve already made the best choices we could have with the information we had at the time? And, would we make the same choices all over again?
Life is all about the choices we make. Not just the choices regarding what we do or don’t do, but the choices of how we choose to experience each event.
If we go into something expecting a bad turnout, we’re focused on that and miss out on seeing the good around us.
If we have expectations of a positive outcome and it doesn’t turn out that way, we miss out on the potential of what’s actually occurring.
The real question is not would you go back and try again, but will you choose to live now with all its potential?
