Manifesting What You Want - You’re Doing it Wrong!
How visualizing what you want, leaves you wanting.
We all want. We want love, we want material things, we want a new job or more money, we want health and happiness. We seem to live in a constant state of “want”.
We’re even super clear about what we want so we can manifest it. We visualize our wants, in great detail. We repeat our wants in affirmations. We post pictures of our wants on vision boards. So why are we still wanting? Why haven’t our wants showed up yet?
Here’s the deal… you’re visualizing and affirming “want”, instead of “have” or “am”.
The universal energy meets us where we are.
We manifest exactly what we ask for.
When you say “I want my business income to grow 5x this year”, the universe gets that message and gives you exactly that, “wanting your business to grow”. It gives you the “want” you asked for.
When you say “I want to be fit, healthy, and strong”, the universe hears you and gives you your eternal “wanting to be healthy”.
Now, if you were to change your affirmations to something like, “my business income this year is growing by 5x what it was last year” or “I am getting more fit, healthy, and strong every day”, the universal energy will then reflect the affirmations that your business is growing and you are getting fit and healthy.
Let’s get out of living in a constant state of want, and start visualizing desires in present tense.
Start practicing statements like I am, I have, I give, I create… instead of I want.
I get it, it might feel like a lie, stating that you are or have these things that you don’t yet have. But how about if we turn that upside down.
Have you ever noticed when you’re having a bad day, and you keep talking about all the bad things that have happened, more bad things seem to keep happening? It’s all in your focus. You’ve become focused on your bad day and you are alert to any other thing that will confirm that.
When you state, “My business is growing”, or “I work with amazing clients”, you will begin to notice new amazing people who might be potential clients or connections to those new clients. You will begin noticing all the ways your business is successful and ways it can become more successful. Your subconscious becomes focused on that.
So, while it’s true you may want these things, affirming the state of “wanting” will bring you more wanting (it hasn’t happened) and affirming the state of being or having will bring you more of those (they are happening or in process).
Next post, we’re going to look at why even affirming in the state of “having”doesn’t produce results.
