The Most Dangerous Stories Are the Ones We Make Up
What narratives are limiting your life and how can you flip them to work in your favor?
In your Human Design chart, there are open centers and defined centers. Neither are good or bad, they just offer us different frequencies for gathering information from the world around us. Where we find many of our limiting narratives are in the open centers.
If you’re going to have a story, make it a big story!
Open centers are where we receive the energy and information from the world around us. They act as filters for the input from our parents, teachers, friends, society, and the world at large, and they are where we receive the most conditioning as we grow up.
If you don’t have your Human Design Chart, you can get it for free here and follow along
Now, let’s take a look at the nine centers. Pay attention specifically to the centers you have open on your chart (these will be the ones not colored in) and explore the possible conditioning from your old narrative as well as how you can flip the narrative and use it to your benefit!
Open Head Center
Old Narrative: self doubt, pressure to figure things out. Am I under pressure to answer other people’s questions and live out their ideas and inspirations?
New Narrative: The power to use questions to create. Affirmation: I follow my strategy to help me decide what I need to do. The questions in my head from others don’t need to be answered by me.
Open Ajna Center
Old Narrative: fear of the unknown, the need to be certain. Am I struggling to convince myself and others that I’m certain?
New Narrative: The ability to imagine all the potentials. Affirmation: My gift is that I can see many sides of an issue and have many different understandings that are fluid and changeable. I don’t have to choose just one.
Open Throat Center
Old Narrative: feeling invisible. Am I trying to get attention (perhaps inappropriately) in order to be heard?
New Narrative: To wait for alignment before acting. Affirmation: I wait for the right people to ask me and who value my words. I save my words for people who truly desire to hear my point of view and insights.
Open Identity (G) Center
Old Narrative: the need to be loved and accepted. Do I question my lovability? Am I struggling to find direction?
New Narrative: To program the monopole with love. Affirmation: I choose to surround myself with people who feel good to me. When I am in the right place, the right opportunities come to me.
Open Will Center
Old Narrative: needing to prove your value to others. What am I trying to prove?
New Narrative: Create sustainably and in alignment with your self worth. Affirmation: I have nothing to prove, I value myself deeply. I make promises and commitments very carefully and deliberately, and only in alignment with my Human Design strategy.
Open Sacral Center
Old Narrative: burn out by not knowing when enough is enough. Do I know when enough is enough?
New Narrative: Respond to creating sustainably. Affirmation: I recognize that my energy is mutable, and I take care of myself and let go of the expectations of others. I am very powerful when using my energy correctly.
Open Emotional Solar Plexus Center
Old Narrative: give up what you need to keep others happy and avoid conflict. Am I avoiding truth and conflict, and trying to keep everyone happy?
New Narrative: Use emotional energy to harness faith. Affirmation: I pay attention to the source of my emotions and allow others to experience their feelings without making their experience my own. I take frequent breaks when the emotional energy is too intense.
Open Root Center
Old Narrative: stress and mistrust, burnout, under pressure to do. Am I still trying to get things done to be free?
New Narrative: Work with right timing. Affirmation: I make powerful decisions about being free and know that things will get done when they get done. I breathe and relax knowing there is an abundance of time to get things done.
Open Spleen Center
Old Narrative: learn which intuitive impulses are aligned with your integrity. Am I holding on to things (or people or pain) longer than I should?
New Narrative: Trust your intuition. Affirmation: I easily let go of things that are not for my highest good. I honor my body and the messages it sends me. I trust my intuition and know that I receive intuitive insights in many different ways.
