Welcome LifeWalk family to this week’s edition!
I was all prepared to get scheduled ahead with a few posts before today, but, that didn’t happen.
Today I’ll be in surgery for dip joint fusion on my right index finger (no worries, I had no idea what that was until about two months ago either!) Long story short, severe degenerative arthritis has left me with an option of ongoing pain in my dominant index finger or fuse the bones in that joint together permanently.
I had a tough time giving myself permission to not write something new for today. You see, I’m a busy person, meaning, I need to keep busy. The “spaces between” activities are often difficult for me. But, alas, I’ll have a lot of spaces between in the coming week while I’m off work and possibly not writing for a couple of days as well. So, rather than a rushed new article, we’re going to revisit a post from last fall that will have some meaning for me over the next week or so.
So here’s to the downtime, the spaces between…

The Spaces Between
I’ve recently begun coloring mandalas for relaxation and meditation. At first, I expertly colored in every single space and shape in the designs. My color combos were beautiful, my coloring within the lines skills were expert! But the finished pieces still seemed “incomplete”.
